Lorna Dempsey brings over 15 years of experience as the director of a performing arts school in Dublin, Ireland, where she honed her skills in arts management, creative leadership, and education. This extensive background forms the foundation of her expertise in managing vibrant, dynamic environments in the performing arts sector.
Currently, Lorna serves as the Theatre and Venue Manager at Marylebone Theatre, where she oversees the day-to-day operations of the front of house and venue, ensuring its seamless functioning for performances, conferences, workshops, and other events. She leads and manages a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence. From contract negotiation to execution, Lorna collaborates closely with the Artistic Director, Technical Manager, and Marketing Manager to ensure every hire meets and exceeds expectations.
Previously, Lorna served as Head of Scheduling and Programming at the Actors Temple London, where she coordinated complex schedules and managed diverse programming for a thriving arts community.
Lorna holds a personal alcohol license, adding to her versatility in managing events and ensuring compliance with licensing regulations. She is also certified as a fire marshal, first aid trainer, and mental health officer, and holds a Level 3 qualification in counselling and psychology. Her commitment to safety, well-being, and professional excellence ensures that every event at Marylebone Theatre is both memorable and expertly managed.
