It’s no secret that queer people love a diva. But why is ‘diva worship’ such an intrinsic part of so many queers’ lives? Is it the power that divas command on stage? Is it their refusal to compromise despite society’s expectations? Is it the communities of fans that provide a safe space to express their true selves? Or do we all just love a bit of camp and sparkle? The London Gay Men’s Chorus Ensemble explores the fascination of divas through a musical journey that encompasses over 75 years of music including Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Diana Ross. A joyful evening with one of the UK’s best-loved vocal groups.
